has spent more than 25 years as a brand and product building, business driving veteran of corporate, consulting and entrepreneurial companies from global to grass roots. She ’ s also the founder of Birth, where she is a consultant to consumer goods startups. Previously, Lori was a member of the Spanx executive leadership team and General Manager of Sara Blakely ’ s incubat or. During her career, Lori has worked with companies such as The Coca - Cola Company, The Home Depot, Georgia - Pacific, The Southern Company, Randstad, The International Olympic Committee, Chick - fil - A, Interface, TRW Inc and countless startups. In addition t o leading The Inactive Company and advising and investing in the Atlanta startup community, Lori is also a long - time supporter and volunteer leader in education and girls/women development efforts. Lori has a Journalism degree from the University of Georgia.

Jill MacRae
Jill MacRae is a marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in building businesses and brands, in the B2B, B2C, and non-profit arenas. She serves as founder and principal of JMACRAE GROUP, a boutique consulting firm that advises and works alongside companies to build and execute strategic initiatives for growth and sustainability. In addition, she is co-founder of The Inactive Company, a sleep performance company focused on developing products, technology, and community that deliver human performance through better sleep.
Before founding JMACRAE GROUP, Jill held various roles at SPANX, Inc. where she ultimately served as Executive Vice President of Global Commerce, establishing new retail distribution to expand product offerings and category channels. While there, Jill also held the roles of Vice President of Marketing and National Director of Sales.
Prior to her time at SPANX, Inc., Jill worked for major consumer products companies, including Starbucks Coffee Company, Darden Restaurants, Dunkin’ Brands, ClubCorp, and Planet Hollywood International.
Jill has received a number of honors in her field including Share Our Strength’s “Most Innovative Cause Marketer.” In addition, she is passionate about leading and giving back on a national and local level. She is an executive mentor for both Young Women’s Leadership Forum of Atlanta and for National Heart Association’s Go Red for Women. Ms. MacRae serves on the boards of Sheltering Arms for Kids Early Education Family Centers and ArtsNOW for Integrated Learning in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jill received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

For Jill Macrae and Lori Oliver, co-founders of The Inactive Company, that moment happened in the bustling hallways of SPANX. What began as a professional relationship quickly blossomed into a friendship rooted in shared passions: innovative products, SEC football rivalries, and the universal quest for quality sleep.
As working mothers and dedicated fitness enthusiasts, Jill and Lori found themselves returning time and again to conversations about sleep—or rather, the lack of it. What started as casual commiseration evolved into a vision, eventually becoming the catalyst for The Inactive Company.
